SPMC begins a major strategic expansion program the milestones of

SRC (one of SPMC's subsidiaries) signed a contract with Riyadh City Governorate valued at around 5 million Saudi Riyals for a period of two years which entitles SRC exclusively to collect waste paper from all areas within Riyadh city.

A contract was signed with the Swedish company "METSO" to increase the production capacity of SPMC from 70,000 tons to 125,000 tons per year.

Full production in the second de-inking plant, at a cost of 50 million Saudi Riyals with a production capacity of 36,000 tons per year.

A decision was made to establish a new paper converting plant in Jeddah at a cost of 36 million Saudi Riyals with a production capacity of 25,000 tons per yea r, in addition to the existing converting plant in the 2nd Industrial Estate in Dammam with a production capacity of 25,000 tons per year.

A decision was made to launch the expansion project of the Jeddah-based waste paper collection and sorting plant to double its production capacity to reach 35,000 tons per yea r. The project will cover an area of 30,000 square meters at a cost of 15 million Saudi Riyals.

Commencement of the expansion projects of the Saudi Recycling Company (an SPMC subsidiary) both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad in Jeddah Morocco Algeria, Bahrain and Jordan.
